To help Jadon Sancho finalise his transfer to Borussia Dortmund, Man Utd is prepared to pay a “significant” amount.
According to reports, Jadon Sancho is close to joining Borussia Dortmund on loan, and Manchester United is willing to provide financial support to enable the transfer.
Since calling out Erik ten Hag for remarks made about his training intensity following the 3-1 loss to Arsenal in September, Sancho has been banished from United.
The England international’s failure to accept responsibility for his actions led to his expulsion from the first squad.
After a last-minute transfer to Saudi Arabia was discussed but ultimately abandoned, Sancho appears destined to return to Dortmund on loan.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Sancho has approved the move and believes that Dortmund is the best place for him to restart his career.
Dortmund and United are currently debating the loan price and how the salaries will be paid.
The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell reports that the Red Devils are willing to contribute significantly to the compensation.
At almost £200,000 per week, Sancho is among United’s highest earners. The club would want to maintain his worth by loaning him out rather than paying him back because it makes more financial sense for them.
Sancho, who cost United £73 million to acquire from Dortmund in 2021, has made 82 appearances for the team and scored 12 goals.
His performance has not been close to what it was at Dortmund, as he scored 19 goals in 26 Bundesliga games during the 2020–21 season.
