Kylian Mbappe, the outstanding player for Paris Saint-Germain, is a player that Mohamed Salah might stop Liverpool from acquiring.

Mbappe’s departure from the Parc des Princes club has been strongly suggested for the past several seasons.

Nevertheless, in 2022, the Frenchman decided at the last minute to back out of a transfer to Real Madrid of La Liga, and he ultimately inked a new contract at PSG.

Liverpool has emerged as PSG’s most reliable and dangerous option for Mbappe’s future, according to reports that surfaced on Monday.

According to rumours, the Anfield team wants to sign Mbappe as a statement piece.

Salah, the current star of Liverpool, might thwart the transfer, though.

Le Parisien, via Caught Offside, reports that Liverpool can only afford to sign a deal to lure Mbappe to Anfield if they cut Salah’s salary.

During Liverpool’s 4-2 victory over Newcastle United on Monday night, Salah gave everyone a reminder of his abilities after putting on a standout display to assist his team secure a crucial win.

When asked about signing Mbappe back in July, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp responded, “We laugh about it.” Although I believe him to be a pretty strong player, the financial situation is completely unsuitable for us.

“There’s nothing to the story as far as I know, but I wouldn’t want to ruin it now.”

“It’s possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me,” Klopp continued, “but in my eight years here, that hasn’t happened.” That would be the case.
