Prior to their FA Cup match against Arsenal, Liverpool handed a severe injury blow.
A major injury setback has befallen Liverpool ahead of their FA Cup Third Round matchup with Arsenal.
Dominik Szoboszlai, a midfielder for Liverpool, was replaced during Monday night’s 4-2 victory over Newcastle United due to an injury.
Following the game, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp disclosed that the Hungarian had hurt his hamstring and required a scan to assess the severity.
Liverpool is concerned about the seriousness of Szoboszlai’s injury as players like Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo are out for international duty.
It has been confirmed that Szoboszlai would miss Liverpool’s next two games before to their matchup with Arsenal.
“It’s an injury,” Klopp declared at his pre-match press conference. Hamstring muscle. We’ll have to wait and see. Dom is optimistic; he’s not in much pain, but there’s no hope for Sunday. Not on Wednesday, then. After that, we’ll see. Hopefully, he will return after that, but we’re not sure.
The Liverpool manager discussed the prospect of switching up his team’s lineup to face Mikel Arteta’s Gunners.
We rotated a lot in the first half of the season, I think, because we assumed the boys could handle it, according to Klopp. We never lose interest in our gameplay.
The bench’s main impact was caused by its size and the rhythmic nature of each person. We’ve done it by bringing in boys who can play to the best of their abilities. Arsenal is a game to rotate, I’m confident of it. We might not have the chance to achieve that, in my opinion.
“We can assemble a strong team and I’m confident that’s what we do,” he continued. I’m not sure if it looks like rotation.
“We want to go to the final but also the next round but it’s probably not possible because we have a few days between games, so that’s long and there’s no need for rotation but then we have [Fulham] and both are identical imortance.
