What is concerning is that Tottenham agreed to a loan arrangement while Manchester United chose not to sign Timo Werner.
Timo Werner, a Germany international, is expected to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan from RB Leipzig in January. The North London team is expected to get the player before Manchester United.
The 27-year-old attacker played his last two seasons at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea in English football, from 2020 to 2022.
Werner looks to be returning to English football, this time on loan, to play for Ange Postecoglou’s team for the remainder of the season.
He stated, “It’s right that Timo wants to go on loan,” in an interview with Sky Germany. Timo is interested in attending the European Championship.
“We wish him all the best and are keeping our fingers crossed for him.”
In order to help fill the void left by former captain Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich last summer, as well as the injury sustained by James Maddison and Son Heung-min’s current absence with South Korea at the Asia Cup, Spurs have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the current campaign.
Spurs are not the only team, of course, that needs to bolster its strike force.
Rasmus Hojlund, a young Danish international, was bought by Manchester United from Atalanta over the summer, but in his short time with the Red Devils, he has failed to score often in the Premier League.
This season, Erik ten Hag’s team has had difficulty scoring goals due to misfiring performances by numerous attacking players, including Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Antony, and others.
According to reports, United was considering a move for the former Chelsea player but finally decided against it.
