Erik Ten Hag affirms that the Man United pair will resume “partial” first-team practice.

Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro have resumed training with the first team, according to Erik Ten Hag.
Both of them have missed extended periods of time; Martinez missed four months of time due to surgery for a metatarsal fracture.
When Casemiro injured his hamstring against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup at the beginning of November, he hasn’t participated in a competitive match since.
Nevertheless, despite the setbacks suffered by both, there is optimism that fans will witness the duo’s quick return.
The exact return dates for the two are still unknown, but Ten Hag has stated that they have both begun “partial” training, indicating that they are almost fully recovered.
“They are a long time already back on the grass and now they return back into team training,” Ten Hag recently told reporters, as quoted by MEN.

“But not fully so partial. Now they have to make the next steps and that may take some days, I think even weeks.”
United’s next match is an away FA Cup Third Round match against Wigan Athletic on Monday night. On Sunday, the team will be ready to play Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at Old Trafford.
Fans will be hopeful that Martinez and Casemiro can recover in time for the games in March, which include a Premier League matchup against fierce rivals City in the Manchester Derby, even though neither player is anticipated to play.
