After six months in Saudi Arabia, Jordan Henderson is getting closer to joining the Premier League.

After just six months of service, former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has made the decision to quit Saudi Pro League team Al-Ettifaq.
The decision by the English international to play in the Middle East and hook up with Liverpool veteran Steven Gerrard for his Al-Ettifaq squad after leaving the Premier League drew harsh criticism.
According to a report by Fichajes, Fulham and Newcastle United are reportedly pursuing Henderson.
Henderson has been linked to a number of Premier League and European teams, but Newcastle and Fulham are now attempting to outbid the others and sign the midfield player.
The former midfield player for Sunderland had a prosperous tenure with the Merseyside team. Before departing the squad in the summer of 2023, he gained notoriety with Liverpool, where he won every major championship. He was designated the Reds’ captain after Steven Gerrard left, and he went on to achieve great things with the team.

After serving the team for 12 gruelling years, he made the decision to quit last summer. After moving to the Middle East, the 33-year-old signed a contract with Al-Ettifaq, a Saudi Pro League team, for an alleged weekly salary of £700,000.
But because of the issues surrounding his transfer, his team’s overall performance, and the Middle Eastern climate, the seasoned midfield player is still unhappy in the region. Henderson and his family are having a difficult time adjusting to life in Saudi Arabia (or even over the border in Bahrain, where his family resides).
