An insider provides a £140 million Chelsea update from Stamford Bridge.

Todd Boehly, the owner of Chelsea, has funded a fresh £140 million infusion into the team. A reporter has provided an update from Stamford Bridge.
Reporter gives Chelsea’s £140 million update.
In an update published on Wednesday, Sean Fisher of Football Insider revealed that Chelsea’s owners have given the team a £140 million boost in the shape of a fresh share offering.
He went on to say that 1,000 additional shares were bought for £1.4 million each pence share, though it’s unclear if this represents an equity investment or the conversion of debt to equity. A portion of the money generated, according to the article, “may go towards improving Pochettino’s squad over January.”
As previously said, Osimhen might cost more than £100 million, therefore this most recent funding round might ultimately be used to acquire the Nigerian international. Should that be the case, Osimhen may lead Chelsea to the next level in the final third, especially after enjoying his spectacular career-best 2022/23 season in front of goal.
After Boehly and company’s £140 million update, Osimhen’s form has maintained throughout the current campaign. With the Blues in “positive” conversations with Osimhen’s entourage and the player open to a move to Stamford Bridge, he may be Chelsea’s marquee signing of 2024.
