Kylian Mbappe makes LeBron James admission that could hand Liverpool huge transfer boost

A revelation made by Kylian Mbappe regarding LeBron James could help Liverpool in the transfer market.
As with previous transfer windows, there is a lot of conjecture around the PSG striker’s future.
After refusing to sign a new deal, Mbappe looked likely to quit the French powerhouses last summer. The 25-year-old was left out of the team’s preseason trip to Asia, but after having productive talks with the organisation, manager Luis Enrique pulled him back into the fold just in time for the season to begin.
The World Cup winner’s future is still up in the air, though, with only six months left on his 2021 contract.
Liverpool still has a chance to sign the superstar, but Real Madrid is likely to go above and beyond to persuade the Frenchman to transfer from the Parc des Princes to the Bernabeu in the summer.
It is said that Real Madrid will make their own attractive offer for Mbappe, while PSG is trying to re-sign him to a contract of £86.15 million per season. Liverpool seems to have a secret weapon, but they will find it difficult to equal either.
LeBron James, a great basketball player and stakeholder in Fenway Sports Group, the American sports conglomerate that owns Liverpool, and Mbappe are close friends. Since they both signed with Nike, the company that makes Liverpool’s uniforms, the two have become closer.
Now, Mbappe has discussed his friendship with the NBA player in an interview with GQ magazine, acknowledging that LeBron has had a significant impact on his professional choices and continues to do so.

He has a much more advanced career than I do, and projects outside sport that have cemented his place as a legend,” Mbappe said.
“Being able to ask such inspiring personalities for advice is a chance to adjust my projects and create my own thing that is as effective as possible for today’s young people.
“These projects grow with me and make me particularly proud. It’s important for me to convey values like dialogue and sharing by surrounding myself with partners who support but above all understand and validate my societal commitment.”
A transfer to Liverpool would massively increase LeBron’s share price in the club, but for the moment the links remain nothing more than speculation.
