The hidden reason why Erling Haaland could leave Manchester City for Real Madrid

Erling Haaland, the sensation from Manchester City, is still being connected to Real Madrid, and new sources explain why he might decide to go in the future.

Real has long loved Haaland, but last summer, he made a £51 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund to City, his father’s previous team.

The Norwegian, who has 71 goals in 75 appearances, assisted the team in winning a record triple in his debut season.

Although his contract with the Premier League winners runs until 2027, there is rumoured to be a £170 million release clause in the agreement.

As stated by AS, non-English clubs will only be required to pay £86 million when the provision goes into effect in the summer.

It implies that Real Madrid might get Kylian Mbappe for that amount rather than pursuing him as their priority aim.

Outlet even went so far as to claim that if the provision was fulfilled, the 22-year-old “would join Real Madrid tomorrow”.

Haaland frequently travels to Spain when he can and owns a home in Marbella. Rafaela Pimenta, his agent, is friendly with Real as well.

Regarding historical ties to Real Madrid, the Brazilian attorney remarked, “Will he sign for Madrid? Madrid is the person you ought to ask that.”

Despite his happiness at City, Alf-Inge, his father, has stated that he would prefer to stay for “three or four years at most” before taking on challenges in other European leagues.

While there are reportedly two different clauses in Haaland’s deal, his representative believes any club would be getting a bargain for one of the deadliest strikers in the game.

She believes he could be the first £1 billion player in the future.

“One billion,” Pimenta told Sky Sport in Italy when asked about how much Haaland is worth.

That’s what I think, because if you put together his football value, his image value, his sponsor value, it is for sure one billion.

“And if you compare, it’s normal to compare Erling [Haaland] with Kylian] Mbappe so you have a little bit of an idea of the market.

“I think Erling will be the first player to achieve a transfer that will be around one billion.”
