MANCHESTER CITY
Germany International Jamal Musiala returning to the Premier League and joining shock club after announcing his departure from Bayern Munich this morning
According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between Bayern Munich and Jamal Musiala over a contract have been postponed.
The young German talent is off to a fantastic start in the new year. When Bayern returned from their depressing winter break, Musiala was among the finest players on the pitch and had scored two goals. It was also their first match following the passing of Franz Beckenbauer.
Below the video, the article continues.
The young player appeared to be having a little more fun and swagger while playing than he has for the majority of his so far quiet season. Against Hoffenheim, the 20-year-old once again demonstrated his abilities and the reasons he is among the finest players in the world.
The future of Musiala has been discussed extensively. One of the best young German players in decades is up for grabs, but many elite teams are vying for his signature as his contract expires in 2026. Among the teams that have been connected to the offensive player at various points in time are Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Chelsea.
When Musiala was younger, he lived briefly in England and attended Chelsea’s school. He’s stated quite clearly that one day he aspires to be a Premier League player. His contract situation is now well known to the English elite.
Last summer, when Bayern made changes to their sports operations, negotiations over a new contract with the young athlete had to be postponed. The good news for his fans is that it appears nothing has changed.
Fabrizio Romano reports that there has been no news on a new contract for Jamal Musiala thus far. “At this time, there is no news regarding contracts as Beeren is concentrating on the January window.” Their director, Christoph Freund, stated that they intend to retain Musiala for an extended period of time. In the upcoming months, I believe they will be speaking with Musiala. We shall see how that tale develops.
