MANCHESTER CITY
Erling Haaland shocking move 😱to European Giant

Manchester City could potentially see their top striker, Erling Haaland, depart within the next year, as the specifics of the release clause in his contract have been disclosed.
Since his £51.2m move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City last summer, Erling Haaland has been exceptional across all competitions, helping Pep Guardiola’s side secure a treble. The Norwegian striker netted an incredible 52 goals in 53 appearances, setting records in the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup. However, Manchester City now confront the possibility of losing him in the summer of 2024.

As per Spanish outlet El Debate, Erling Haaland’s release clause stands at a mere £150m, indicating that securing the services of the world’s most prolific striker wouldn’t even surpass the current transfer record. However, this clause is set to become active from next year, necessitating swift action from Manchester City to secure the 23-year-old on a new contract before the clause takes effect.
Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has remained tight-lipped about the specifics of the clause, even suggesting an element of enjoyment in the speculation surrounding its existence.
“The release clause in Haaland’s contract is a mystery, it reminds me of Treasure Island. No one knows. I like it,” she remarked back in May.
Recent reports indicate that Real Madrid might pursue a move for Manchester City’s star striker, Erling Haaland, in the upcoming summer transfer window if they fail to secure a deal for Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid had made attempts to bring Haaland to the Bernabeu last year, but the Norwegian forward opted for Manchester City instead.
While Real Madrid continues to prioritize Mbappe, the prolonged saga surrounding the Frenchman implies that negotiations could be complex. In contrast, Haaland’s reported release clause offers a more straightforward avenue for a potential deal.
Pimenta, Haaland’s agent, hasn’t dismissed the possibility of a move either. She recently stated to El Chiringuito: “The open door can mean a lot of things. Our players can have the feeling that they have their destiny in their hands.”
