  • At the conclusion of the season, Osimhen will depart Napoli.
  • The Nigerian striker’s contract includes a release clause exceeding £100m, with Real Madrid and PSG among the speculated destinations.

A summer transfer for Osimhen has been widely anticipated, especially after he recently signed a new contract featuring a release clause exceeding £100m, intended to facilitate a future move.

Fueling speculation further, the 25-year-old hinted earlier this week that he had already made his decision regarding his next destination, although he refrained from divulging specifics at the time. Now, De Laurentiis has confirmed Osimhen’s imminent departure, shedding light on three potential destinations for the Nigerian international.

“We were already aware that he would be joining either Real Madrid, PSG, or a Premier League club.”

In England, Osimhen emerges as the primary target for Chelsea, who have long sought a top-tier goal-scorer. The Blues have pursued Osimhen for some time and are expected to intensify their efforts in the summer, when they anticipate having the financial resources necessary for such a costly acquisition.

With Osimhen’s release clause surpassing £100m, potential suitors are limited. While Arsenal may possess substantial funds for a striker, Manchester United are inclined to pursue a more economical option to support Rasmus Hojlund, who is set to retain his position as the Red Devils’ primary striker.
