DAVID DE GEA MAKES SHOCKING RETURN TO PREMIER LEAGUE,UNITED ARE LEFT IN DISBELIEF OF HIS CHOICE OF CLUB

Reports indicate that David de Gea is engaged in discussions with a new club, signaling his imminent return to action. The 33-year-old goalkeeper, a free agent since July following contract negotiations with Manchester United, has been exploring options for a new club. Several teams, including Saudi Pro League’s Al Hilal and La Liga’s Real Betis, have been linked to him. Despite earlier reports of negotiations with Real Betis, manager Manuel Pellegrini downplayed the likelihood of De Gea’s move to the Spanish side.
Six months after departing the Premier League, David de Gea could be eyeing a return, with reports indicating talks between the Spanish goalkeeper and Saudi Pro League outfit Al Shabab for a potential January transfer. This move comes as former Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is poised to join the Riyadh-based club, with a medical scheduled for Sunday, according to Fabrizio Romano. Rakitic’s departure from La Liga strugglers Sevilla, where his contract expires in 2024, signals a significant move for both players and clubs involved.
Additionally, reports suggest that Al Shabab is eyeing a move for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, indicating an active transfer window for the Saudi Pro League team.
Meanwhile, David de Gea’s negotiations with Al Shabab continue, with the club currently positioned 11th in the Saudi Pro League standings, having secured five wins out of 19 matches. It’s noteworthy that their next fixture is scheduled for mid-February due to the league’s mid-season break.
De Gea has attracted considerable interest in recent months, with The Athletic reporting that he received numerous offers and inquiries during the summer transfer window. These offers ranged from prominent European clubs to teams in the bottom half of the Premier League.
