Michael Olise has reportedly made a decision regarding his future amid ongoing transfer speculation linking him with both Chelsea and Manchester United.

Palace winger Michael Olise has been a standout performer at Selhurst Park since his arrival from Reading in 2021. However, persistent rumors have circulated about his potential departure from the club.

Despite limited starts in the Premier League this season due to injury setbacks, Olise has showcased his talent with five goals and one assist in seven appearances.

Chelsea came close to securing Olise’s signature last summer when Todd Boehly triggered his “complex” £35 million release clause.

Nevertheless, Olise decided to extend his stay at Selhurst Park by signing a new contract, despite interest from other clubs. This move surprised many, especially after Pochettino’s team had openly pursued the winger.

Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish made the announcement of Olise’s contract extension via Twitter, expressing his delight at the winger’s decision to commit his future to the club.

The details of Olise’s new contract include a release clause, although the exact figure has not been disclosed. Speculation suggests that the release clause is substantially higher than the £35 million amount that Chelsea triggered during the summer transfer window.

Olise’s injury makes a January move unlikely from Crystal Palace. Chelsea and Manchester United both pursue him, with reports suggesting his preference for Old Trafford due to childhood allegiance, despite his past ties to Chelsea and City academies.
