Chelsea and Manchester City are closely monitoring Alphonso Davies’ contract situation at Bayern Munich. The Canadian left-back’s current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2025, and ongoing negotiations for an extension have yet to yield a satisfactory outcome.

Recently, Raphael Guerreiro has filled in for Davies in Thomas Tuchel’s starting lineup, prompting concerns about the impact of contract negotiations on Davies’ performance. However, Nedal Huoseh, the 23-year-old’s agent, has reassured that Davies remains fully committed to Bayern Munich. The club plans to conduct further discussions in the coming weeks to resolve the situation.

Their latest contract offer is reportedly around £8.5 million per year. However, Davies is said to be seeking up to £11 million annually, according to German sources. This suggests that further negotiations may be required before a deal is finalized.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, is also involved as they plan a summer transfer raid, with Davies and Kylian Mbappe being their primary targets.

Ferland Mendy, potentially on the trading block, is viewed by Real Madrid as inferior to Davies. However, if Bayern Munich doesn’t secure a contract extension for Davies, Chelsea and Manchester City could also be potential destinations.

In that scenario, Bayern Munich will need to consider permanent transfer offers for the promising talent, who will enter the final year of his contract starting July 1.

Alphonso Davies has yet to finalize a new contract with Bayern Munich.
