Chelsea fans can’t believe what Ben Chilwell said during his post-match interview after Wolves defeat
The reaction to Ben Chilwell’s post-match interview after Chelsea’s devastating loss to Wolves has been far from positive among their supporters.
Chelsea endured yet another setback in the Premier League as they suffered a heavy defeat at home to Wolves on Sunday.
Wolves emerged as 4-2 victors, with Matheus Cunha netting a remarkable hat-trick.
Raheem Sterling faced boos from the crowd as both Chelsea and Wolves supporters united in singing a disparaging chant directed at Mauricio Pochettino.
Thiago Silva’s wife expressed her discontent after the match, seemingly advocating for Pochettino’s dismissal.
Chilwell’s comments in his post-match interview, suggesting Wolves had a stronger desire to win, didn’t sit well with Chelsea fans online, who criticized their captain’s remarks.

One disgruntled fan expressed: “Absolutely useless at Chelsea. Hard to believe he’s making Baba Rahman seem like a standout player. Dreadful, just dreadful.”
Another vented: “This is the moment when real leaders step up and motivate their teammates. Chelsea lacks leadership, and that’s a huge part of the issue.”
A third critic remarked: “That’s a feeble excuse. It’s your responsibility to be the one who wants it more.”
And a fourth chimed in: “What a pathetic justification. Why would they have more desire than your team?”
Another commenter remarked: “He’s utterly pathetic. Just a superficial analysis of the game. Not surprising.”
The pressure is mounting on Pochettino, who has now overseen 10 league defeats for the Blues this season.
In his post-match comments, he admitted: “I think none of us are good enough right now. That’s the reality. Including myself. Today’s performance shows that we’re not up to par. We didn’t handle the situation well.
“No one can feel secure, right? I’m not here to claim I’m the best. Currently, we’re not living up to the club’s history, that’s undeniable. We need to acknowledge that and be self-critical. We won’t give up.”
