Tottenham Vs Liverpool VAR Error receives Green light

The Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham should be replayed, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, after VAR mistakenly disallowed a goal by Luis Díaz for offside.

In the 34th minute of Liverpool’s 2-1 loss to Spurs on Saturday, Díaz appeared to have put the team ahead, but the flag was raised for offside.

Darren England, the VAR referee, misinterpreted the on-field ruling as a “goal.” He informed the referee to “check complete” even though he saw right away that Díaz was onside, which led the on-field team to believe the offside flag was correct.

Following a comprehensive assessment, the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) issued a lengthy statement and made the entire audio available on the Premier League website, along with a detailed explanation of what went wrong.

During his press conference on Wednesday, Klopp stated that a replay of the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would be the appropriate course of action.

Both England and his helper Dan Cook were substituted for their upcoming games, which were Fulham vs. Chelsea on Monday and Nottingham Forest vs. Brentford. Neither player is listed as an official for any of the Premier League games this coming weekend.
