Thiago, a midfielder for Liverpool, suffered another injury a few days after making his comeback to the game after a 10-month absence. Thiago entered the game late in the second half of Liverpool’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal, making his first appearance since April 2023. However, according to The Guardian, Thiago suffered a muscle injury. This setback exacerbates the Spaniard’s problems, as he has struggled with injuries ever since joining Anfield from Bayern Munich in 2020.

Thiago’s contract is slated to expire this summer, and it doesn’t seem likely that he will be able to extend it, so at the end of the season, he will be able to leave Anfield as a free agent. Thiago’s playing time under Klopp has been restricted despite his skill; his last start was in February 2023.

According to the most recent sources, Thiago Alcantara may have already played his final game for Liverpool due to the severity of his hamstring injury.

Joel Matip and Adrian, who are also nearing the end of their contracts, are next in queue to move from Thiago. After Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher, Adrian is now the third-choice goalie. Matip’s season was cut short by an ACL injury. Young players like Paul Glatzel, Melkamu Frauendorf, and Mateusz Musialowski are also nearing the conclusion of their contracts.

Wataru Endō’s return to Liverpool, however, came as a boost after Japan’s Asian Cup loss. Liverpool has games coming up, including one at Anfield against Burnley, so they will need to gather themselves and get over their recent loss to Arsenal.
