LIVERPOOL
Liverpool is keeping a close eye on the unexpected turn in Mo Salah’s potential move to Saudi Arabia.
Liverpool’s 31-year-old Mo Salah is approaching the end of his storied football career, therefore the Reds’ choice to turn down a £150 million offer for him last summer was a brave one.
The Egyptian attacker, who has long been seen as the cornerstone of the Anfield team, recently scored more than 150 goals in the Premier League for Liverpool, demonstrating his continued importance to Jurgen Klopp’s group.
Salah was one of the biggest names in football, so it was only a matter of time until he made the move to the Saudi Pro League. The Saudi Public Investment Fund was expected to come back with an even bigger offer to sign Salah and boost his profile even further.
Salah is amenable to extending his contract with Liverpool, according to sources from Football Transfers/Anfield Watch. This would probably be appreciated by everyone connected to the team.
In light of this unforeseen development, Liverpool must remain watchful and make sure they don’t let Salah get away, even though the details of his salary demands are still unknown.
