Kylian Mbappe set to land legendary shirt number at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe will receive a legendary shirt number from Real Madrid if he chooses to join the Spanish powerhouses.

Mbappe will go from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current campaign after heated negotiations with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club president.

Real, who have followed him throughout the years, are regarded as the front-runners to sign the star forward.

But they have fierce competition from some of Europe’s best teams, like Liverpool, who have their sights set on Mbappe.

Arsenal’s interest in Mbappe has been revealed by Mikel Arteta, who also instructed the Gunners to present PSG with a contentious trade proposal.

However, all indications go to Spain, where Real Madrid is expected to sign the 25-year-old on a massive free transfer.

He may pay PSG a share of his signing-on fee as part of the agreement.

Prior to the 2024–2025 season, Mbappe already has his shirt number set if he signs with Real Madrid.

Mbappe will wear Luka Modric’s No. 10 shirt, according to Mundo Deportivo. The renowned Croatian midfielder is expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer when his contract expires.

Mbappe will join a distinguished line of celebrities who have worn the number if he wears the No. 10 shirt at Real Madrid.

When Mbappe initially joined PSG in the summer of 2017, he was wearing the No. 29 shirt.

In the end, he was given the No. 7 shirt, which he has worn ever since.

At Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior is the owner of the storied number seven, thus the shirt isn’t empty.

However, Mbappe represents France in the No. 10 shirt, winning the World Cup in 2018.
