Jurgen Klopp accept new offer to coach one of the best team in Spain
According to sources who spoke with Football Insider, Jurgen Klopp has no interest in managing Germany after leaving Liverpool.
After the season, the 56-year-old Klopp announced in January that he would leave Anfield and take a year off.
He has been heavily linked to taking over as coach of the Germany national team after that break finishes, but Football Insider has learned from a trustworthy source that this is not the Anfield manager’s primary objective.
It has been reported that Klopp believes the team is too weak and insufficiently capable of winning significant tournaments in the near future.
It is widely believed that the Premier League winning manager will most likely move to La Liga, namely to one of the two dominant El Clasico sides, Real Madrid or Barcelona.
After taking over as manager in 2015, Klopp revealed in January that he was “running out of energy” and decided to leave Liverpool.
The majority of the German’s backroom staff will be leaving with him when the season concludes, leaving Liverpool’s management with a big gap to fill in the coming months.
Klopp has Liverpool locked in a title fight for the Premier League in his last season there. Right now, the Reds are ahead of the table by one point.
At Anfield, Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, is predicted to succeed Klopp. The current favourite to take over as manager is the former midfielder for Liverpool.
It is likely that his squad will win the German championship after leading Bayern Munich by eight points in the Bundesliga this year.
