Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez at risk of two-game ban which could see him miss crucial Man City clash

Darwin Nunez is balancing a possible punishment, as the attacker for Liverpool may miss his team’s crucial match against Manchester City.
Nunez has already received eight yellow cards this season; two more and the prolific Uruguayan would miss two matches due to suspension.
Due to injuries, Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Alisson Becker are now out for Liverpool, which has led to a number of selection problems.
Although Nunez was substituted at the half of Liverpool’s 4-1 victory against Brentford this past weekend, Melwood officials are keeping an eye on his condition “day-to-day.”
The 24-year-old’s disciplinary record this season has frequently given Liverpool fans cause for concern, though.
Nunez has made 37 appearances throughout all competitions; in August 2022, he was sent off against Crystal Palace after receiving ten yellow cards.
Klopp’s team has a demanding schedule ahead of them, so losing another offensive option would be devastating.
Nunez still carries a big portion of the attack burden, but Mohamed Salah, who just returned from his Africa Cup of Nations duty, is the one who finds the net against the Bees.

Following his team’s recent 4-1 victory over Chelsea, Klopp told reporters, “It is just crazy that he creates that many.” “For a moment, imagine that he took them all. The numbers would be so ludicrous that you would lose all comprehension of them, so it makes sense.
“We scored four goals, so that’s crucial to us. Who knows if we could have scored a fifth or a sixth? It’s not that crucial.
“He will score, and we have to win football games. He has already scored.
“Then, he truly proved to be the player he is for us by setting up the fourth goal at a crucial time—a 3-2 or 4-1 margin makes all the difference. There’s no doubt the rest will arrive.”
