But, Mikel Arteta’s team was on fire as they sprinted to a 2-0 halftime lead behind goals from Kai Havertz and Sven Botman’s own goal.

Arsenal maintained their lead in the second half thanks to headers from Jakub Kiwior and a magnificent solo goal from Bukayo Saka, making the score 4-0.

As the Gunners defeated the Magpies, they created their own piece of Premier League history.

Arsenal has the greatest streak of goals scored without a response in Premier League history, with 17 goals scored since their last goal was given up, according to TNT Sports. When former Gunners midfielder Joe Willock made it 4-1 in the final minutes, the run finally came to an end.

They had last given up a Premier League goal in their 3-1 victory against Liverpool at the beginning of February, which was prior to their encounter with the Magpies.
