Fans think Man City have sent Cole Palmer brutal dig after Carabao Cup final defeat

After the Carabao Cup final, several fans believe Manchester City made a cruel joke about former player Cole Palmer.
In the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, Chelsea fell to Liverpool 0-1; Virgil van Dijk scored the game’s winning goal in the 118th minute at Wembley Stadium.
In the first 90 minutes, either team may have won, but Chelsea lost steam in extra time and was unable to put a young and injured Liverpool team to the test.
Perhaps the only Chelsea player who didn’t appear phased by the situation was Cole Palmer, unlike the majority of his more experienced and less experienced teammates.
Since moving to Stamford Bridge for £40 million from Manchester City last summer, the 21-year-old has shown promise and has been one of Mauricio Pochettino’s team’s few shining moments amid a dismal season.
In recent months, Palmer has gained the moniker “Cold Palmer,” in part because of his maturity and ability to remain composed in the face of adversity during games.
To go along with his new moniker, he’s even developed a goal celebration where he clenches his arms and acts shaky.
On the other hand, supporters believe Palmer’s previous team, City, made fun of him on social media after he came so close to winning his first trophy with Chelsea.
Less than 20 minutes after the final whistle at Wembley, on Sunday at 6pm GMT, City released a picture of Phil Foden wearing a face mask and a woolly hat inside a cryotherapy chamber on X.
Athletes can accelerate muscle recovery by subjecting themselves to extremely low temperatures over brief periods of time, a technique known as cryotherapy.

Some fans on X perceived Palmer’s tweet as a calculated jab at the recent graduate of City Academy.
One follower retorted, “Trolling Palmer now,” while others said, “Cooking Palmer you know,” and “We see what you did there wadmin.”
Not everyone, though, was as impressed; some even accused City of being impolite.
One X user questioned, “City really trolling their own academy graduate Cole Palmer?”
Further comments from two followers read, “Trolling a 20-year-old? So blatant. It’s embarrassing!” as well as “Trolling your boy? Show off your class.”
Palmer has now lost two Wembley finals this season, despite having won silverware (he scored for City in the UEFA Super Cup victory over Sevilla in August).
Palmer opened the goal in August’s Community Shield matchup with Arsenal, but City lost the penalty shootout after giving up a late equaliser.

It will be amazing if he joins me here at Stamford Bridge. Even though it seems highly unlikely, it won’t kill me to try to convince him to join me here. I would very much love it if he joins me” – This is according to Cole Palmer as he has weighed in on the speculation surrounding Kobbie Mainoo’s potential move to Chelsea. The young midfielder has been the subject of transfer rumors, and Palmer’s reaction has added fuel to the ongoing discussions.
