“He’s a machine” says Jurgen Klopp referring to the Liverpool player who will ink a new long term deal g

Wataru Endo looked fantastic in the Carabao Cup final in which Liverpool defeated Chelsea. Endo arrived at the Reds during the summer transfer window from Stuttgart, but many were surprised by his abrupt presence. Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, who would have cost Liverpool a total of almost £163 million if they had chosen to join Chelsea, were targets for Liverpool. Klopp believes Endo will have a long and prosperous career at Liverpool once the team wins his first major prize.
Endo was reported to have cost the Reds approximately £16 million, but some had written him off early due to his age and relative obscurity. But since moving to Merseyside, the international player from Japan has been playing brilliantly. While Lavia was sidelined by injury and Caicedo had to settle for a runners-up medal, he played a brilliant 120 minutes in Liverpool’s 1-0 extra-time victory over Chelsea at Wembley.

Endo’s contract with Anfield expires in the summer of 2027. Although Klopp will leave his position as manager of Liverpool in the summer, he thinks Endo will still be part of the team in the long run.
“This is a positive step, huh?” said Klopp. Yes, we were lucky, as I’ve said a few times. When we bring him in, it’s clear that Wataru will sign a new long-term deal with Liverpool in three or four years, even though his passport may indicate that he is thirty-one or thirty-one years old, even though he is not. He is a machine. Football-wise, he is exceptional. He is a very good defensive thinker. In many ways, he gives us a great deal of freedom. Indeed, a really good development. extremely advantageous, extremely advantageous.
