Regarding Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, joining Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand has an odd theory.

Having finished second in the Premier League and leading the Gunners back to the Champions League, Arteta has done an outstanding job with the team over the past two seasons.

Under Erik ten Hag’s direction, United has had yet another dismal season and is now well behind the elite teams.

As a result, Ten Hag’s position as the club’s long-term manager appears to be in doubt due to new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team.

Former Red Devil Ferdinand declared Arteta would transfer from Arsenal to United in a video posted on his YouTube account.

“Arteta would 100% leave Arsenal to join Man United,” he declared.

Nobody is claiming it, but if Man United suddenly announced, “Do you know what, Erik ten Hag, thank you,” or that Erik ten Hag had been kidnapped by Bayern Munich and went there, and Man United then announced that Arteta was number one on the list, Arteta entering and telling the boys, “Listen guys, it’s been emotional but I’ve got to go

“The team showed big character to fight back, we deserved the equaliser and went for the win – we showed big personality and character,” remarked Ten Hag following United’s 2-1 loss to Fulham at Old Trafford.

“You must consider the wider picture. The larger image appears excellent.

When United plays Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Wednesday night at the City Ground, they have the opportunity to make amends.

The Red Devils will turn their attention to the Premier League after Wednesday, starting with a crucial match against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon at the Etihad Stadium.
