Darwin Nunez had cold response to hearing Nottingham Forest fans’ X-rated chant towards him

When Darwin Nunez of Liverpool heard chants directed at him at the City Ground by Nottingham Forest supporters, he responded in the ideal way.
The Reds defeated Nottingham 1-0 to earn what might prove to be a vital three points in the Premier League title fight.
After missing Wednesday’s FA Cup fifth round victory against Southampton, a number of players for Jurgen Klopp’s team were available to start the match; Luis Diaz, Ibrahima Konate, and Alexis Mac Allister were all added back into the starting lineup.
Only two of Liverpool’s 22 efforts on goal against Forest tested new Forest custodian Matz Sels, demonstrating their inability to locate the target.
Nunez, who had missed the previous three games due to injury, scored their victory.
However, the Uruguayan had the most influence off the bench at the City Ground, as he secured all three points for Klopp’s team with a stunning goal in the 99th minute.
The Forest supporters started yelling at him as soon as he took the pitch, “You’re just a shit Andy Carroll.”

The same cry was used by Liverpool fans to entice the Uruguayan striker after his goal in front of the away end, and it was maintained long after the game finished in addition to a few more customary cries.

Nunez, a 24-year-old with seven assists under his belt, scored his tenth goal in an outstanding Premier League season.
With a game remaining, the Reds lead second-place Manchester City by four points. On Sunday, the two teams will play at the Etihad Stadium.
Third-place Arsenal are a point further back and have a match against Sheffield United on Monday night.
With two games remaining on Nuno Espirito Santo’s schedule, Forest, whose enraged chairman Evangelos Marinakis took to the field at half time, are only four points ahead of Luton, who are ranked eighteenth.
