Nottingham Forest chairman ‘chases referee down the tunnel’ repeating same message after Liverpool’s 99th minute winner

According to reports, following Liverpool’s goal in the 99th minute, Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis chased the referee down the tunnel.
At the City Ground, it appeared as though Forest had kept the Premier League leaders to a scoreless draw, but Darwin Nunez struck with a thrilling winner right at the end.
The Uruguayan caused some spectacular fireworks in the away end with a wonderful cross from Alexis Mac Allister, which he headed home.
But when the game was about to end, chaos broke out. Chairman Marinakis was also spotted on the field, and Forest coach Steven Reid received a red card for remarks he made to referee Paul Tierney after the game. Substitute Felipe also received a warning.

And it seems that the mayhem continued after that. While in the tunnel, BBC Radio Five Live correspondent Rob Schofield gave an update on what would happen next.
Security had to intervene when Marinakis, according to The Mirror, followed the referee to his office and insisted that he “respect the players!”
Jurgen Klopp was puzzled as to what had sparked this response in the meantime.
“You rarely see scenes like that in the tunnel,” asserted Schofield. Steven Reid’s frustration was visible.
“He and the Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis pursued referee Paul Tierney and fourth official Graham Scott all the way to referee’s office yelling at them “Respect the players! Show the players some courtesy! This occurs each week! Show the players some courtesy!
“Marinakis had to be removed by security at one stage. The Forest players were furious, Nuno looked absolutely crestfallen. Jurgen Klopp stormed past me saying he doesn’t know why he’s getting so much flak. It really was all kicking off down here. Furious scenes.”

Following the defeat, which drops Forest to 17th place in the Premier League, Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo declined to talk about the referee.
Manchester City can close the gap to one point if they defeat Manchester United, but Liverpool currently leads by four points at the top.
