Devastating news on Liverpool keeper Caoimhin Kelleher,as injury crisis continues

In an open training session, Liverpool and keeper Caoimhin Kelleher may have made fun of their own supporters in reaction to rumours that the stopper was hurt. Unverified rumours on social media had caused followers of the Reds to worry about yet another setback in the Premier League title battle. The player from Ireland was reportedly suffering from an injury.

Adrian has stepped in as Kelleher’s backup since the Brazilian, Alisson, has been sidelined for an extended period of time due to a “serious” injury, as announced by manager Jurgen Klopp.

The possibility of losing another important player to injury worries supporters, as the new number one has shown himself to be a reliable alternative. He excelled particularly in the Carabao Cup final victory against Chelsea.

In a humorous manner, Liverpool did, however, certify that Kelleher was fit and fully trained. Players started to show up for practice on Wednesday, which was open to the public and live-streamed on the team’s YouTube page, but Kelleher was nowhere to be seen.

He did show up for the session and was the last player to enter the pitch for warm-ups. He was making fun of the fans as they frantically tried to find out if Kelleher was fit, only for their fears to be dashed when he took the pitch.

The good news kept coming for fans, as Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohammed Salah were also photographed fully training before their Thursday Europa League first-leg away at Sparta Praha.

Though Liverpool’s fringe and youth players have played well recently, the squad is starting to take shape and back to normal despite the absence of players like Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones, and Ryan Gravenberch.

Klopp has confirmed that Alisson will be out of action for longer than anticipated, meaning that Kelleher—one of those exceptional performers—will be starting between the posts for an extended period of time. Regarding his first-choice custodian, Klopp stated last week, “There is no real timescale on it, but it is a proper muscle injury.”

“Different athletes heal at different rates. That’s pretty much it. It’s not a little one. It is not as though he will be competitive for next week or anything similar. Definitely a few more weeks to wait for him. Although it is a major injury, it is not one that will finish the season for him; he is training in the gym.”
