Alejandro Garnacho makes Man United history which has never been done before

The midday kickoff on Saturday saw Alejandro Garnacho create Manchester United history by defeating Everton.

After losing to rival City on Derby Day last weekend, United was hoping for a quick turnaround.

However, Everton surprised everyone by controlling a large portion of the ball early on at Old Trafford.

However, Garnacho took it upon himself to drive United forward and proved to be a constant threat.

And in the first half, the Argentine’s optimism with the ball paid off as he won two penalties.

He ducked back in from the left wing in the twelfth minute, and James Tarkowski, the Toffees’ captain, nabbed him.

Despite England’s number one guessing correctly, Bruno Fernandes made no mistake from the spot, shooting past Jordan Pickford.

But late in the half, Garnacho won another spot-kick, this time sucking in Ben Godfrey, who clipped him while he was running quickly.

This time, Marcus Rashford came through, but Garnacho made history by becoming the first United player to win two penalties in a single Premier League match.

Even after a third penalty shout was raised when Garnacho’s cross struck Vitaly Mykolenko’s arm, Simon Hooper waved aside the claims, and VAR did not intervene.

Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger is the last player to win two penalties in a Premier League match. He accomplished this feat for Chelsea against Leeds back in December 2021.

In conceding the pair of spot-kicks, Everton have now given away seven penalties this term.

Nobody other has accomplished as much, and West Ham shares the same unfavourable total as the Liverpool team.

When Ashley Young fouled Anthony Martial during the rematch against United at Goodison Park, Everton also gave up a penalty.

In a 3-1 victory, Garnacho scored an incredible overhead kick.
