Sven-Goran Eriksson had heartfelt conversation with Jurgen Klopp moments before Liverpool Legends match

Sven-Goran Eriksson had a poignant talk with Jurgen Klopp before Liverpool Legends took against Ajax Legends at Anfield.
Both teams’ retired former players will compete in an exhibition match for charity, with a major percentage of the revenues going towards funding educational initiatives run by the LFC Foundation.
Additionally, a portion of the match’s revenues will go to Forever Reds, an organisation that supports former Liverpool players who require care, particularly as they approach retirement.
Today is the first day that Eriksson, a former manager of England, is leading a Liverpool team.
The 76-year-old disclosed in January that, “in the best case scenario,” she has one year to live after receiving a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
In a follow-up interview with Sky News, he said that his biggest footballing regret was not managing Liverpool throughout his career—a side he and his father both supported.
The Reds said the next month that Eriksson will have the chance to lead the Liverpool Legends squad against Ajax.
Amidst the pre-match PA system playing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone,’ the Swede was clearly moved by the song, especially because his family was there at Anfield.
Before the game began, Liverpool supporters cheered him onto the field, and the Swede acknowledged the Anfield faithful as he got ready to lead the Legends.

Liverpool revealed that Eriksson would meet current first team manager Jurgen Klopp and spend a day at the Club’s training facilities as part of the announcement that he would lead the Legends.
The Reds’ social media channels have footage of the former Lazio and Manchester City manager conversing with Klopp before to the match.
After giving the former England manager a hug, Klopp said, “What a legend! It’s good to meet you.
“Congratulations, you’re doing great,” Eriksson answered.
Then, when the camera pans away, the two go on their unintelligible chat. On the other hand, both men are seen grinning broadly.

Reds legends Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, Daniel Agger, and Martin Skrtel were all starting for Eriksson’s Liverpool team.
As usual in Liverpool Legends games, rolling replacements were employed, with Dirk Kuyt, Djibril Cisse, and Sami Hyypia all sitting on the bench.
Ajax players Danny Blind, Nwankwo Kanu, Ronald de Boer, and Rafael van de Vaart are among those who have served as double-duty representatives for both teams throughout their careers. Ryan Babel and Jari Litmanen have also done double duty.
Torres’ goal in front of the Kop gave Liverpool a 3-2 lead in the second half, capping an incredible comeback from a 2-0 deficit at the break.
