Fabrizio Romano shares ‘concrete’ Liverpool manager update that Reds fans will welcome

Liverpool has been working hard to assemble a new backroom crew while continuing to push for more hardware this year.
Richard Hughes has been hired by FSG as the new Director of Football, following the appointment of Michael Edwards as CEO of Football.
After that, with Jurgen Klopp expected to leave Anfield at the conclusion of the season, the Reds will search for a new head coach throughout the summer.
Numerous managers, including Roberto De Zerbi, Ruben Amorim, and Xabi Alonso, have been connected to the Liverpool reins.
The Reds now have a “concrete” option in case they don’t land Alonso, according to Fabrizio Romano, who provided an update on the team’s managerial chase.
Amorim is the coach in question; since taking over at Sporting Lisbon in 2020, he has been a revelation for the Portuguese capital club.

Ruben Amorim higher than Roberto De Zerbi in Liverpool pecking order
“Ruben Amorim is a concrete candidate for the Liverpool job,” Romano told the Men in Blazers podcast, as transcribed on GiveMeSport.
“I think he is in position number two at this moment from what I’m told. He also has a release clause in his new contract at Sporting.
“It is difficult to negotiate with Portuguese clubs, especially for special people like Ruben Amorim, but for sure the interest from Liverpool is there.
“I think Amorim is in position number two, he is a candidate for the Liverpool job at this moment more than Roberto De Zerbi.”
The possibility of Amorim taking over at Anfield in the event that Alonso is unavailable will surely be welcomed by Liverpool supporters.
In fact, many Reds supporters seem to be responding favourably to this information on social media.
Why would Ruben Amorim be good for Liverpool?
Amorim would also be a fantastic candidate for the Anfield bench if Liverpool are unable to acquire Alonso.
The 39-year-old has established himself as a “supercoach” and a youthful manager with “incredible” potential and a promising career in sports.
Amorim appears to tick a lot of boxes when it comes to his potential for Liverpool.
He has excellent communication skills, is aware of what it takes to win championships, and will gladly modify his strategy to fit the players he has available. He also enjoys making investments in gems and young players.
According to Transfermarkt, Amorim is well-liked in Portugal. This was reported earlier this year.
“He is a highly esteemed coach with virtually no reservations over his abilities. In addition, they value his communication style.
“He is a coach who is very sincere and direct in the answers he gives, always respecting the opponent. He seems to be a very upright and friendly person.”
