Brazil star ‘refusing’ to leave Barcelona amid claims the club are ready to let him go this summer

Barcelona is reportedly making efforts to minimize their losses on one of their Brazilian stars.
Under Xavi’s leadership, the team has witnessed a sudden surge in popularity among academy talents this season, with Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez, and Lamine Yamal all rising to prominence.
In a recent 1-0 victory against Las Palmas in La Liga, the goalscorer, reportedly discontented at the Nou Camp, has drawn attention.
According to Forbes via SPORT, Raphinha is reportedly dissatisfied with the limited playing time he is currently getting in the team.
Despite joining from Leeds United in the summer of 2022, the Brazilian has faced obstacles due to the emergence of Yamal this season and has found it challenging to reclaim a spot in Xavi’s plans.
Unnamed sources suggest that interest from Saudi Arabia and England could potentially sway the 27-year-old’s decision.
Head coach Xavi, set to depart at the end of the season, has emphasized that discussions about the winger’s recent playing time do not benefit the team.

“I don’t believe discussing whether he starts or not is crucial for us. He remains a highly significant player for our team,” he began.
“He has been exceptional in numerous matches this season, and today was no exception.”
Despite tallying six goals and ten assists so far this term, Raphinha has only started 13 La Liga games for Barcelona.
Injuries have hindered his progress, though the forward has chosen to remain silent on speculation regarding a potential departure.
Despite being under contract until 2027, the former Rennes star was linked with a transfer to Chelsea. However, he ultimately chose to join Barcelona.
Speaking after Barcelona clinched the La Liga title last year, he expressed to the Spanish press: “This is my first trophy with this colossal club, this iconic FC Barcelona jersey – it’s truly incredible.”
“And so now we go for more trophies.”
