LIVERPOOL
Liverpool fans massively concerned by what Ruben Amorim just said in his latest press conference

Liverpool supporters have expressed worries about the club’s hunt for Jurgen Klopp’s replacement, especially after revealing remarks from their top choice, Ruben Amorim.
With former Liverpool player Xabi Alonso already out of the running, Amorim, whose Sporting Lisbon team achieved a Portuguese domestic treble in 2021 and defeated Arsenal in the Europa League, has emerged as a strong favorite for the upcoming vacancy at Anfield.
According to Sky Germany, Amorim has reportedly verbally agreed to succeed Klopp at Liverpool next season. This has sparked speculation that he is already planning signings for the club.
Portuguese outlet Jornal Noticias has suggested that Amorim is interested in bringing Goncalo Inacio, Ousmane Diomande, and Morten Hjulmand to Anfield.
Amorim has countered those reports, stating that there hasn’t even been a formal interview with Liverpool yet.
“I did NOT meet Liverpool for any interview and there’s no agreement, it’s not true,” he said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
“I’m Sporting manager, I want to win here and I didn’t meet any club. Nothing has been agreed.
“Stop with this story. This is the last time I speak about my future.”
Liverpool fans have expressed their concern on social media regarding Amorim’s comments and the club’s ongoing search for a new permanent manager.
One angry fan posted on X: “We haven’t even interviewed the guy yet, this managerial search has turned into a FARCE!”
“Another manager rejected Liverpool,” added a second fan.

A rival fan wrote: “Liverpool in the mud.”
While another added: “Rejected LiVARpool again they are dusted.”
While it’s improbable for Amorim to confirm any agreement with Liverpool before the end of the Portuguese season with Sporting, his statement about the lack of an interview will certainly raise doubts.
Despite this assertion, Amorim continues to be the favorite among bookmakers to succeed Klopp at Anfield. Former Liverpool defender Abel Xavier, speaking to BBC World Service, also shared insights into what Reds fans could anticipate from Amorim if he assumes the managerial role.
He said: “He is very humble, discreet and has a very clear mindset.
“He put in place his ideas [at previous club Braga], he changed the dynamic, he created empathy, and of course a big club like Sporting Lisbon paid to have him.
“The first thing that this [Sporting] president said was, ‘We believe that the money I’m paying for Ruben Amorim is going to prevail and he’s going to create value in the youth development players and also get results’. He was correct.”
