A recent report suggests that Zinedine Zidane is close to making a surprising return to football management after his departure from Real Madrid in 2021.
Despite being linked with several clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain, the 51-year-old hasn’t taken on another coaching role since his time with Los Blancos.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that Zinedine Zidane is on the verge of taking over as the manager of Bayern Munich, potentially replacing Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel is set to depart from Bayern at the end of the season after a disappointing domestic campaign, though he could finish his tenure with a Champions League title. However, an agreement with Zidane has not been finalized yet due to some unresolved details.
Additionally, Zidane is reportedly seeking assurances regarding the club’s transfer plans before committing to the role.
