Chelsea supporters were outraged at Nicolas Jackson following Manchester City’s triumph over the Blues in the FA Cup.

Just days after their elimination from the Champions League by Real Madrid, City secured a vital FA Cup semi-final win against Chelsea, maintaining their aspirations of a double.

Pep Guardiola’s squad secured a late 1-0 victory courtesy of Bernardo Silva’s goal, securing their spot in the final, where they will meet either Coventry or Manchester United.

Chelsea will lament the numerous missed opportunities they had to seize the lead during the match. The main offender for the west London side was Jackson, who has been consistently reckless in front of goal throughout the season.

The Senegalese international’s wastefulness has been so pronounced this term that according to the xGPhilosophy on X, a particular instance where Jackson found himself through on goal with only Stefan Ortega to beat had an XG of 0.00, which was deemed miraculous.

Numerous Chelsea fans on X voiced their frustration with Jackson’s performance.

One person said: “Nicolas Jackson We need to kick him out of the club.”

A second added: “The best strategy to stop Nicolas Jackson is to simply let him have a shot whenever he wants, because you know with absolute certainty that he won’t be scoring it.”

A third said: “Nicolas Jackson should have had a hat trick but never even looked like scoring in any of the chances.”

A fourth added: “Jackson is a very dull player, should be sold summer.”

A sixth said: “Get Jackson out of my beloved club.”

Jackson committed to an eight-year deal with Chelsea in June last year. Despite a promising pre-season, he has managed to notch up 10 league goals this season.

While this tally mirrors the debut seasons of Chelsea greats like Didier Drogba, Gianfranco Zola, or Eden Hazard, Jackson’s campaign has also been marred by several notable misses and disciplinary issues, including yellow cards.
