Jurgen Klopp found Man Utd ‘contract’ when club accidentally left it out after FA Cup clash with Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp stumbled upon a Manchester United ‘contract’ that the club accidentally left out after their FA Cup clash against Liverpool.

In March, Klopp’s squad visited Old Trafford with the aim of defeating their fierce rivals United in the FA Cup.

However, the home team emerged victorious with a 4-3 win after extra time, in what proved to be a memorable encounter between two of England’s biggest clubs.

Liverpool’s dreams of achieving the quadruple under Klopp’s final season in charge were shattered by their defeat to United.

Klopp, who will be departing Anfield at the end of the season, was seen holding what appeared to be a club contract after the match. This contract, mistakenly left behind by the club, was used in a video featuring popular YouTuber iShowSpeed.

Gaz Drinkwater, a BBC Radio Manchester reporter, highlighted the irony of the situation, as Klopp found himself inadvertently holding the contract while addressing journalists.

Since their defeat by United in the FA Cup, Liverpool’s season has encountered setbacks. They were eliminated from the Europa League by Atalanta and suffered a loss to Crystal Palace in the Premier League, causing them to lose ground in the title race.

Currently occupying the third spot in the league table, they trail leaders Manchester City by two points. Klopp, speaking ahead of their match against Fulham, expressed the need to maintain positivity despite facing challenges such as opponents with their own targets and varying circumstances.

“That’s the challenge in football because we never play just for ourselves, we always have an opponent. We have to make sure we become that opponent for each team again [that] they don’t want to play against. We made it a bit too easy for three teams in a row and we should change that.”
