Footage of Arne Slot’s team-talk at Feyenoord emerges and it’s got Liverpool fans talking

Liverpool supporters are actively considering the prospect of Arne Slot potentially joining Anfield, especially after a video of his emotionally charged team-talk following a victory against Ajax gained attention once again.
Slot, aged 45, is a top contender to succeed Jurgen Klopp when the season concludes. Sky Sports reports that he is currently a prominent figure in Liverpool’s quest for a new manager, with his dynamic and high-intensity approach appealing to the Premier League outfit.
Slot has built a strong reputation for his high-energy tactics at Feyenoord since assuming the managerial role before the 2021/22 season.
However, what is his demeanor like behind the scenes? A video shared on Feyenoord’s social media platforms captures the former AZ Alkmaar manager delivering a fervent address to his team following a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Ajax at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
Addressing his players, Slot starts by commending their relentless work ethic: “The reason we find ourselves in this position is because each of you works tirelessly every single day. That’s why you were able to defeat this team here in their own stadium, even without our fans present.”
“But, that again is an obligation for the upcoming weeks because you guys are going all to the national teams. Some will play, some don’t but we need to stay fit boys.
“This is only a win. It’s not more than a win. It’s a big win but it’s not more than a win.”

Slot goes on: “We have a bigger goal this season and only winning for the first time in 17 years in Amsterdam. Our goal is bigger than that. So take care of your body, make sure come fit as you soon can back to the club so we can go for the last two months and make this season even more special than you already have
“We’re not gonna be small. It’s only a win in Amsterdam. That what we did here. I would say before but that’s not completely true. So enjoy the win because it is a big win but take the obligation with you to the national team because we need you back fit. Because then we are going to make this season even more special.”
Social media users had varied reactions to the clip. One emotional fan expressed,
“Genuinely tearing up watching this speech. We’ve bagged an elite manager,” while another acknowledged, “Quite charismatic to be fair.
” A third individual chimed in, saying, “Guys, I’m excited now I’ve come around to the idea of him as manager.”
A fourth added: “Okay… I’m impressed. He can be the right one to fill the Slot Klopp left.”

Arne Slot, aged 45, who recently extended his contract with Feyenoord until 2025, has suggested that his future lies beyond the Netherlands.
“My next step will not be a club in Holland,” he stated in May 2023. “If that is my next step, then I’ve failed completely.
The normal next step will be to go abroad, and I’ve always said the best league in the world is the Premier League.”
