Two Feyenoord players are ‘desperate’ to join Arne Slot at Liverpool next season

Slot could bring two Feyenoord players with him to Liverpool.
Two Feyenoord players are said to be eager to accompany manager Arne Slot to Anfield should he assume control at Liverpool in the upcoming summer.
An agreement in principle between Liverpool and Feyenoord has been reached, with the compensation amount reportedly ranging between €11 and €15 million.
The 45-year-old manager has expressed his desire to join Anfield, where he would succeed Jurgen Klopp following the German’s departure at the end of the season.
Slot will depart Feyenoord after securing the Eredivisie title last season and the KNVB Cup this season. His tenure at the Dutch club has been marked by notable achievements and a positive net spend, with his coaching prowess and player development skills highly praised in the Netherlands.
According to recent reports, two of his current players are eager to join him at Liverpool once his appointment is officially confirmed. One of these players is defender Lutsharel Geertruida, who recently shared a photo of himself at the Liverpool away end during Saturday’s match against West Ham on his Snapchat account.
Geertruida, 23, is valued for his versatility, capable of playing as a full-back or a centre-back on either side. He has also demonstrated his scoring ability with six league goals this season. Despite interest from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last summer, Feyenoord rejected their bid, reportedly holding out for a fee of around €40 million. However, Geertruida is approaching the final year of his contract with Feyenoord.
Additionally, reports suggest that Feyenoord centre-back David Hancko has long held a strong admiration for Liverpool since his youth.

The Slovakia international, known for his left-footed play, has been previously linked with the Reds in transfer windows. At 26 years old, he could potentially serve as the perfect long-term successor to Virgil van Dijk, especially considering Van Dijk’s contract at Anfield is entering its final 12 months.
