Barcelona and Bayern Munich ‘considering stunning swap deal’ that would make both clubs extremely happy

Barcelona and Bayern Munich could do business with one another over a swap deal that would out work well for all.

Reports suggest that Barcelona and Bayern Munich are considering a significant swap deal that would be advantageous for all involved parties.

Over recent years, the clubs have engaged in several transfer deals involving players such as Thiago Alcantara, Arturo Vidal, and Philippe Coutinho.

However, a fresh development indicates the possibility of a summer swap deal between the two football giants.

According to David Bernabeu’s article in SPORT, Barcelona is considering including defender Ronald Araujo in a potential deal to acquire Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich.

Araujo, a Uruguayan international, is reportedly a prime target for Bayern, who made unsuccessful bids of €70 million and €80 million for him in January. While Barcelona is in talks to extend Araujo’s contract, discussions are ongoing, and a final decision is expected in May at the end of the season.

However, Barcelona is known to admire Kimmich and is contemplating offering Araujo as part of a proposal for the German midfielder.

With Manager Xavi Hernandez, now confirmed to be staying on for next season following a change of heart, being a big admirer of Kimmich, Barcelona sees him as a crucial addition to the squad.

Despite Kimmich having another year left on his contract, Barcelona might struggle to meet his transfer fee. Hence, a swap deal, whether involving a direct exchange or including some financial compensation, could be beneficial for both clubs.

Kimmich initially gained recognition as a reliable right-back but swiftly evolved into one of the premier holding midfielders in global football.

In 2021, the former RB Leipzig player confessed to idolizing Xavi during his formative years.

“My role model was always Xavi Hernandez from Barcelona,” Kimmich explained to SportBild.

“He was never the greatest, but had an eye for the game, passing, technique. He was always trying to put others in the limelight.
