Liverpool player quietly confirms he is looking for a new club this summer as Arne Slot rebuild begins

The first Liverpool player has announced his intention to find a new club this summer, anticipating the expected appointment of Arne Slot as the new manager.
Liverpool and Feyenoord have reached a preliminary agreement for Slot, who will succeed Jurgen Klopp as manager at Anfield once the negotiations are completed.
Klopp will oversee his final match as Liverpool’s manager.
The Daily Mirror reported that negotiations between Liverpool and Arne Slot had slowed due to his assistant, Sipke Hulshoff, balancing commitments between Feyenoord and the Netherlands national team. However, Hulshoff has since resigned from his role with the KNVB. Slot is expected to focus on enhancing the Liverpool squad once he officially takes over. It’s unclear if Slot will have a say in the Reds’ retained list, usually published after the season’s final game.
Meanwhile, third-choice goalkeeper Adrian has announced he will seek a new club as his contract ends next month. Adrian, who signed a one-year extension last June, became a cult hero at Anfield in his first season by stepping in for the injured Alisson and being the penalty shootout hero in Liverpool’s 2019 UEFA Super Cup victory over Chelsea.

But the 37-year-old hasn’t played a competitive match since the 2022 Community Shield, with Caoimhin Kelleher taking his spot as the second-choice goalkeeper.
Speaking to Movistar Plus, Adrian expressed his desire to return to La Liga after 11 seasons in the Premier League, stating: “It would be the end of a cycle.”
He added, “I’m still ready to compete. I feel very good, despite being 37. You know that goalkeepers, if you take good care of yourself, avoid serious injuries, and maintain daily training intensity, you can still compete effectively.”
“I haven’t sat down with Liverpool yet. I don’t rule out that we could have a pending conversation, but it is true that we will be looking out of the corner of our eye to see what happens in La Liga.”
