Premier League to Vote on VAR’s Future Amid Wolves’ Plea to Scrap System

The Premier League clubs are set to vote on whether to retain the VAR system for the next season, following Wolves’ plea to scrap it. However, Liverpool will not support the motion. According to the PA Agency, the club supports the continued use of VAR.

This stance comes despite Liverpool being on the wrong end of some controversial VAR decisions, including Luis Diaz’s goal against Tottenham which was wrongly ruled out for offside due to a communication failure.

A fan recently spotted the funniest part of the VAR audio in the disallowed Diaz goal incident.

For VAR to be scrapped, 14 clubs must vote in favor of the move. Liverpool’s opposition to the motion significantly decreases the chances of that happening.
