Jurgen Klopp nearly in tears after Liverpool players did ‘incredibly nice thing’ ahead of final match

Jurgen Klopp revealed he was nearly reduced to tears by his players ahead of his final Liverpool match.
Back in January, Klopp announced his decision to step down as Liverpool manager at the end of the 23/24 season.
Since then, the Reds have won the Carabao Cup but faced bitter disappointments in the FA Cup, UEFA Europa League, and Premier League. Klopp will leave Anfield as one of the club’s greatest-ever managers, having won the Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, FA Community Shield, and two Carabao Cups.
Ahead of what promises to be an emotional afternoon at Anfield, Klopp revealed he was close to tears after a gesture by his Liverpool players.
He said, “I know myself, I am super-emotional. In a little moment, I was super emotional this week. On Thursday, the players did an incredibly nice thing speaking about me and other members of staff who are leaving, Virgil did incredible. I only had to make a joke here and there. If I had started to say what I think, I would have been gone (emotionally). I knew it. Nobody will remember what I said yesterday, it was just to protect myself. Sunday will obviously have to be the right things.”

Klopp added, “I speak to 60,000 and worldwide, whatever. I haven’t worked out how that will be, but seeing Anfield for the last time in that way. I am fine with it. It is not as if I think I should have another 500 games but the last time will be super-difficult, I know that. But again, I can only say if it would not be difficult it really would have been a rubbish time. We had a great time together so this day will be difficult. That is the price you pay.”
Klopp also declared that he will not manage another team in England. He said, “It is definitely that my time in England is over because I will not coach another team here. If I manage again it will not be around the corner. Nothing will happen like that. It means a big, big part of my life is definitely over.”
