Arthur recalled the challenging period in an interview with the Mail, explaining how a routine training session led to a severe injury. “I made a five-metre pass in training then felt a little discomfort… I went for a scan after the session. I went and it turned out to be a severe injury,” he said. This injury kept him sidelined for the entire season.

Despite his struggles, Arthur praised Jurgen Klopp for his support during recovery. “Klopp was really good. What it highlighted about him was that you could tell he had been a player and understood,” Arthur said. “He stayed close to me and was always asking how I was during my recovery. He stayed calm, he knew it would take time but he would say ‘no rush’ and gave me a feeling of trust.”

After a difficult season with Liverpool, Arthur has found his form again at Fiorentina, making 47 appearances and helping the team reach the UEFA Conference League final. Now, he is linked with a move back to England, with Everton reportedly among the interested clubs.

Arthur remains positive about his varied career experiences, from Gremio to Barcelona, Juventus, and Liverpool. He emphasized the growth and learning each stint provided. “Every experience has made me more mature, more complete. I place a lot of value on what I have learned,” he noted.

As Arthur looks to finish the season on a high with Fiorentina, the potential move to Everton or another Premier League club represents an opportunity to redeem his reputation in English football and demonstrate the resilience and skills he believes he still possesses.
