Former Liverpool player Boudewijn Zenden has identified Feyenoord fullback Lutsharel Geertruida as a key target for new Liverpool manager Arne Slot. Zenden believes Geertruida, who has been instrumental in Feyenoord’s successful season, could significantly bolster Liverpool’s squad next season.

The 23-year-old right back could provide the flexibility needed for Trent Alexander-Arnold to transition into a midfield role, where he has already shown immense potential. This move could elevate Alexander-Arnold to new heights, allowing him to become one of the best midfielders in the world.

Geertruida enjoyed a standout season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 47 appearances. His strong relationship with Slot from their time at Feyenoord could facilitate a smooth transition to Liverpool.

In the Eredivisie, Geertruida leads all fullbacks in several key metrics, including passes, goals, shots, expected goals, passes to the final third, accurate passes, and accurate progressive passes.

Liverpool should capitalize on Geertruida’s affordable price in the upcoming transfer window. Slot already manages a team of superstars, and adding Geertruida could make a significant impact on Liverpool’s success.
