With personal terms settled, the focus has shifted to negotiating a transfer fee. Earlier reports suggested Galatasaray hoped to pay no more than €20 million for Wan-Bissaka. However, the latest reports from Turkey indicate Galatasaray is now aiming for a fee in the €7 million to €10 million range, equating to £5.9 million to £8.5 million.

These figures are particularly troubling given Manchester United’s modest £50 million budget for the current transfer window. The proceeds from selling players like Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, and Wan-Bissaka are crucial for increasing Ten Hag’s transfer funds. However, if United receives such a low sum for Wan-Bissaka, Ten Hag’s spending power will see minimal improvement.
