The 80 million euro deal,,, Perez is monitoring Mendy’s successor in anticipation of signing him this summer

Florentino Perez is closely monitoring a potential replacement for Ferland Mendy at Real Madrid, but surprisingly, it is not Alphonso Davies. This new target is valued at approximately 80 million euros. Real Madrid is weighing their options between Mendy and Davies for the left-back position at the Bernabéu, but no final decision has been made yet.
Mendy has had an outstanding season, earning praise for his defensive prowess and receiving support from head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has expressed his desire to keep him. However, the club may consider selling Mendy if a substantial offer is received.
While it seemed that Real Madrid was prepared to pursue Davies, whose contract with Bayern Munich expires in 2025 and who is unlikely to renew, there may be a surprising development.
According to the Spanish network Defensa Central, Tuttosport has suggested another potential candidate for Real Madrid’s left-back position: Theo Hernandez. Hernandez is reportedly looking to leave AC Milan, and clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have shown interest in him. However, Real Madrid is also now in the race to sign him.
Given Hernandez’s high price, it may be challenging for Real Madrid to prioritize him over Davies, especially since Davies could potentially join on a free transfer in 2025.
