Madrid has made a decision regarding the fate of team star Ferran Garcia in the summer transfer period. According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, 24-year-old Ferran Garcia has a contract with Real Madrid that runs until June 2027, but he struggled to secure a starting position with the team last season.
The newspaper confirmed that Real Madrid has decided to put Ferran Garcia up for sale during the summer transfer window. Garcia joined Real Madrid from Rayo Vallecano in the summer of 2023 for 5 million euros.
Sport reported that Ferran Garcia participated in 31 games across all competitions for Real Madrid last season, scoring one goal and providing six assists. Despite these contributions, Garcia found it challenging to cement a regular spot in the lineup.
Garcia was part of the Real Madrid squad that won both the Spanish League and the Champions League. However, the club has now decided to move in a different direction.
The Spanish newspaper also hinted at Real Madrid’s interest in signing Canadian star Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer period, potentially indicating a strategic shift in the squad’s composition.
