DEVASTATING NEWS: Coming Live From Anfield, Liverpool To Sell Star Player To Barcelona In Exchange For Barcelona FLOP. Liverpool Are In The Market For A Winger And Arne Slot Is Eager To Get One And Might Be Forced To Make A Deal That Will Cost The Club In The Future. According To Reports, Liverpool Is Likely To Sell Luis Diaz As Barcelona Have Resumed Their Chase Of Liverpool Attacker Luis Diaz. European Giants Willing To Sell Key Player In Exchange For Barcelona FLOP

Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona have renewed their interest in Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. With Hansi Flick at the helm, Barcelona’s main aim is to bolster the left side of their starting lineup, addressing the limited options on the left wing.
To bring in the 27-year-old Colombian from Liverpool, Barcelona is considering selling Raphinha. Despite Raphinha’s notable record of 20 goals and 25 assists in 87 appearances, rumors suggest the 27-year-old might be moved, even though his contract extends until 2027.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are hesitant to let go of Diaz, who was acquired from FC Porto in January 2022 for £50 million, including add-ons (via Daily Mail). Since joining, Diaz has netted 24 goals and provided 13 assists in 98 appearances. Following Jurgen Klopp’s departure, several Liverpool players have been linked with transfers, but the club is keen on retaining key players like Diaz.
Barcelona sees Diaz as an upgrade over Raphinha, particularly since Lamine Yamal occupies the right flank. Although Raphinha received an offer from Saudi Arabia, he isn’t interested in moving to the Middle East. Barcelona is awaiting more offers for Raphinha before advancing their interest in Diaz. Reports indicate that Barcelona’s sporting director Deco and his team find Diaz an excellent fit, valuing his age and mentality.
Diaz was crucial for Liverpool last season, making 51 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals, and providing five assists. As new manager Arne Slot starts his tenure, it is vital for Liverpool to keep Diaz, who is essential to their attack, offering pace and width. While Diaz could enhance his finishing, his role at Anfield is significant. Liverpool should only consider selling him if the financial offer is extraordinarily advantageous.
