Valverde recommends Perez to sign the best player in Copa America
All European teams are looking to bolster their squads in the upcoming transfer window to compete strongly for all championships and titles. The summer transfer window is an opportunity for Europe’s top players to correct the course and enhance the team’s elements. Leading these teams are the Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, the two most popular teams in the world. Each team is eager, despite different circumstances, to quickly secure the best players before the other.
At Real Madrid, Valverde has become a standout star, known for his quality and on-field performance. He is a Madridista at heart, displaying his dedication every time he wears the Real Madrid shirt. He has earned the affection of all the fans, as well as the club’s admiration, especially from Florentino Perez.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, this strong relationship with the president and the club has led Valverde to recommend a new signing. Perez has been urged to acquire Manuel Ugarte, whom Valverde regards as “one of the best midfielders in the world today.” This sentiment is shared by Florentino Pérez.
The newspaper added that Valverde considers his Uruguayan teammate, Ugarte, one of the top stars in the Copa America currently being held in the United States. The Uruguayan team has advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Brazil on penalties.
The Real Madrid president agrees with Valverde’s opinion but recognizes that the team already has a surplus of midfielders, which complicates the signing of another player. However, Perez is contemplating the matter, especially following Kroos’s departure and permanent retirement from football.
Additionally, Ugarte recently signed with Paris Saint-Germain, making any transfer negotiations nearly impossible, especially since he hasn’t completed a season with them yet.
The newspaper concluded that Perez has added Ugarte to the team’s agenda due to Modric’s impending departure and Kroos’ retirement. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Madrid player is seen at the club this summer.
